They are the only ones to vote against Thomas Griffith to sit on the U.S. Appeals Court for the District of Columbia. Harry Reid voted for this guy's nomination for Chrissakes! Dodd, Dorgan, Bidan, Feinstein, and Schumer all voted for this guy. But not Tim.

Remember that next time Tim starts bleating about how "bipartisan" he his.

The simple fact is, Tim can call himself whatever he wants. But, based on his votes, he is as left, or left of, Daschle.

Grumpy Old Senator Tim Actually Casts A Bi-partisan Vote!

Won't the bi-partisans be happy!

Today Grumpy Old Senator Tim voted to end debate on the nomination of William H. Pryor, Jr., of Alabama, to be U.S. Circuit Judge. Huzzah!

Earlier today Tim voted "neigh" on the nomination of Janice R. Brown, of California, to be U.S. Circuit Judge. That's fine. He made a record that he was voting against Justice Brown because the Washington Post told him to. That's how I would expect him to vote and that's his privilege. The girl's soccer coaches and the ranters and haters at what pass for the lefty SD blogs are making their cases against Brown. Great. But don't confuse a vote against Brown's nomination, which is the method for Tim to exercise his obligation to advise and consent, with a vote against cloture which is Tim working in a very non bi-partisan fashion to obstruct the Senate from fulfilling its constitutionally mandated duties.

Tim Johnson's Bi-partisan BS

Grumpy Old Senator Tim shows his true colors again. Despite his constant bleating in the press about his and South Dakotan's love for a bipartisan approach, Tim is no less doctrinaire than Harry Reid.

Again today he voted to block the Senate from fulfilling its constitutional obligation to vote on an appellate court nominee. This action puts Tim squarely with Reid and against the bi-partisan Gang of Fourteen. Tim's words say "bipartisan". Tim's actions say "Screw the 67% of South Dakotans who agree with the judicial philosophy of anti Roe decision judges."

Atta boy Tim!
